Love/hate Buffalo. More love these days. Trudy Stern’s poetry and memoir is grounded in a place: Buffalo, New York.

She was host of Tea Leaves Readings (2002-2007) and co-publisher of poetry broadsides and portfolios (Tea Leaves) with husband Michael Morgulis at Local Color Editions.

Trudy and Michael art-directed, designed and hand printed the inaugural broadsides of Just Buffalo Literary Center from 1975 through 1980, at the invitation of then-director Debora Ott.

They published notable poets including Diane di Prima, Robert Creeley, Ed Dorn, Alice Notley, Maureen Owen and many others when they came to Buffalo to participate in historic readings.
