When I was living in Colden, NY, I made a picture from the deck every morning. Many of these pictures became covers.

 

For this one, I had a super wide angle lens mounted, and pointed it straight up. Because it was so wide, of course it included the bare trees along the periphery.

 

It seemed to me that this shot suggested exploration, expansiveness, and so on. Plus I liked the colors very much.

 

The only manipulation was to move the moon away from its true location, which was just behind the "by."
